SPECTRUM analyzes the social perception of ecological transition by studying the interactions between socio-economic factors, communication strategies, and public opinions on environmental issues at the regional level in Spain. The research aims to identify key determinants and communication approaches to foster a green economy by 2050. It combines sociology, economics, communication, and computing to encourage citizen participation and support Spain's ecological transition. Using an interdisciplinary approach, it integrates surveys, macroeconomic models, microeconometric analysis, discourse analysis, and computing techniques to design effective policy mechanisms for the green transition.
To provide understanding of the people’s perception of ecological transition at the regional level, by identifying the potential social risks that may endanger a successful climate-neutral economy.
To analyze the socio-economic structure of each region and the communication strategies delivered by national and regional claim-makers.
To formulate a set of policy recommendations, finding the most effective solution to reconcile the different regional perceptions with the different scales of climate mitigation strategies at the regional level.
